Today we had an Awards Assembly and we celebrated Celia, Megan, Leon, Jacob and Doran getting certificates for all the hard work they have done this term. Congratulations to these five people from our classroom. A great effort!

Here is the recipe and a youtube video on the experiment we did last week in class. You could try making your own plastic at home.

This experiment can be done using the Youtube recipe.
Or alternatively you could use the heating method with a saucepan.
This activity can be done at home.
If you are using the heated method adult supervision is important.
- Half fill a beaker with milk.
- Slowly stir in two teaspoons of vinegar.
- Continue to slowly add the vinegar until the mixture begins to gel.
- Pour out the watery fluid.
- Take out the plastic and mould into a shape.
You have plastic!

Today Jack, Jayden, Angus, Acacia and Johanna created some bird feeders for the birds at our school during the winter months when there is not a lot of food around for them. They have been reading all about bird facts in books this week and came up with a solution to a problem given to them.
